Once I picked up the book, I didn’t stop until it was done. Sharon is a writer who immerses you in the story and for this native NYer it brought up such nostalgia from my childhood that drew me in even more. It’s a story that gently stirs your heart and frees up some past for you that needs to go. I look forward to Sharon’s next book eagerly! A good book for all!

A Must Read, A Journey With A Purpose in Every Word Could not put this book down. Intriguing story of a young teen’s journey. The story touched on so many aspects of what we all try to manage. The reflections at the end of each chapter were wise, insightful and helpful. Reading this book had me rethinking about so much of and in my own life…….And a clear cut path to stay connected to our hearts and our faith. Highly recommended for all of us. (over 12, due to some topics that could be confusing to a younger person)

I started reading at 1 p.m. and couldn’t put the book down until I finished. I loved the anecdotes at the end of each chapter—some were so thought-provoking, while others felt like a daily devotional. Your use of descriptive language feels so fresh, current, and relatable. Personally, I enjoyed reminiscing about NY and didn’t realize that the words I use stem from so many of our relatives migrating from the South. I also loved about the inspiration behind each character. It’s a true gift of family history. Your sense of humor and the rich tapestry of colors and cultures really shine through in Hannah’s experience with each character. I’m still not sure where exactly a librarian would place it—Teens/Bible devotionals or Good Reads—but you’ve definitely set yourself apart with the reflection at the end of each chapter. Once again, kudos on this amazing work that helps both believers and unbelievers alike understand how good it is to know the Lord. This will also be a blessing to me as a parent!
